Coriander prices on Wednesday decreased by Rs 94 to Rs 16,986 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced positions in response to subdued demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for December delivery decreased by Rs 94, or 0.55 percent, settling at Rs 16,986 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 19,735 lots.

Market analysts indicated that muted spot demand and profit-taking by speculators exerted downward pressure on coriander futures prices.
