On Monday, guar gum prices decreased by Rs 290, reaching Rs 16,050 per quintal in futures trade, as market participants liquidated their holdings in response to a declining trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for November delivery decreased by Rs 290, or 1.77 percent, settling at Rs 16,050 per quintal across 73,885 lots.
Market participants indicated that weak demand in the spot market, coupled with abundant supplies from producing regions, exerted downward pressure on guar gum prices.
