Guar seed prices increased by Rs 110 to Rs 6,956 per quintal in futures trade on Friday, driven by heightened investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for October delivery increased by Rs 110, or 1.61 percent, reaching Rs 6,956 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 67,260 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased speculation by investors bolstered guar seed futures contracts.
