Coriander prices on Friday declined by Rs 78 to Rs 16,202 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced positions in response to subdued demand in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for October delivery decreased by Rs 78, or 0.48 per cent, settling at Rs 16,202 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 19,090 lots.
Market analysts indicated that muted spot demand and profit-taking by speculators exerted downward pressure on coriander futures prices.
