Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday increased by Rs 19 to Rs 3,793 per quintal in futures trade, driven by speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for August delivery experienced an increase of Rs 19, or 0.50 percent, reaching Rs 3,793 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 19,390 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily affected the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
