On Wednesday, guar seed prices rose by Rs 9 to reach Rs 5,913 per quintal in futures trading, driven by increased investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for August delivery increased by Rs 9, or 0.15 per cent, reaching Rs 5,913 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 43,980 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased investor speculation, even in the face of declining spot prices, bolstered guar seed prices in futures trading.
