Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday increased by Rs 4 to reach Rs 3,932 per quintal in futures trade, driven by speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for August delivery experienced an increase of Rs 4, or 0.10 per cent, reaching Rs 3,932 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 49,200 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily impacted the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
