Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday increased by Rs 18 to reach Rs 3,741 per quintal in futures trade, driven by speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for July delivery experienced an increase of Rs 18, or 0.48 per cent, reaching Rs 3,741 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 38,670 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily impacted the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
