On Tuesday, guar seed prices increased by Rs 18, reaching Rs 5,972 per quintal in futures trade, driven by heightened investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery increased by Rs 18, or 0.3 per cent, to Rs 5,972 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 45,365 lots.

It concluded at Rs 5,954 per quintal in the previous session.
