On Wednesday, guar seed prices increased by Rs 27, reaching Rs 6,117 per quintal in futures trade, driven by heightened investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery increased by Rs 27, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 6,117 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 65,390 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased investor speculation, notwithstanding a decline in spot prices, bolstered guar seed prices in futures trading.
