On Friday, guar seed prices increased by Rs 104, reaching Rs 5,998 per quintal in futures trading, driven by heightened investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for June delivery increased by Rs 104, or 1.76 per cent, to Rs 5,998 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 48,135 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased investor speculation, notwithstanding a decline in spot prices, bolstered guar seed prices in futures trading.
