On Wednesday, the prices of guar seeds climbed by fifty rupees, hitting five thousand seven hundred rupees per quintal in futures trading. This increase was driven by increased investor speculation.
Guar seed contracts for delivery in June reached Rs 5,770 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, which was accompanied by an open interest of 62,690 lots. This represents a 0.87 percent increase from the previous month’s price of Rs 5,770 per quintal.
The participants in the market noted that increased investor speculation, despite a fall in spot prices, contributed to the strengthening of guar seed prices in futures trading.
