Cottonseed oil cake prices experienced an increase of Rs 90, reaching Rs 2,630 per quintal in futures trade on Thursday. This uptick can be attributed to speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery experienced an increase of Rs 90, or 3.54 percent, reaching Rs 2,630 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 6,720 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily impacted the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
