Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday experienced a slight increase, reaching Rs 3,283 per quintal in futures trade, driven by speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery experienced an increase of Rs 1, or 0.03 percent, reaching Rs 3,283 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 7,790 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily affected the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
