Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday increased by Re 1 to Rs 4,282 per quintal in futures trade, as speculators established new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for August delivery experienced an increase of Re 1, or 0.02 per cent, reaching Rs 4,282 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 31,190 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily impacted the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
