On Monday, guar seed prices experienced a decline of Rs 42, settling at Rs 6,162 per quintal in futures trade, influenced by abundant supplies.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for August delivery decreased by Rs 42, or 0.68 per cent, settling at Rs 6,162 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 53,785 lots.

Market participants attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
