Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday increased by Rs 2 to reach Rs 3,850 per quintal in futures trade, driven by speculators establishing new positions in response to heightened demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for July delivery experienced an increase of Rs 2, or 0.05 per cent, reaching Rs 3,850 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 43,090 lots.

Market participants indicated that the expansion of positions by traders, driven by a rising demand for cattle feed, primarily impacted the prices of cottonseed oil cake.
