On Friday, guar seed prices rose by Rs 3, reaching Rs 6,243 per quintal in futures trade, driven by increased investor activity.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for August delivery increased by Rs 3, or 0.05 per cent, reaching Rs 6,243 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 55,560 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased investor speculation, even in the face of declining spot prices, provided support for guar seed prices in futures trading.
