On Wednesday, guar seed prices increased by Rs 27, reaching Rs 6,021 per quintal in futures trade, driven by heightened investor speculation.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery increased by Rs 27, or 0.45 per cent, reaching Rs 6,021 per quintal, with an open interest of 54,245 lots.

Market participants indicated that increased investor speculation, even in the face of declining spot prices, bolstered guar seed prices in futures trading.
