Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday declined by Rs 26 to Rs 3,638 per quintal in futures trade, as market participants adjusted their positions in response to unfavourable trends observed in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for July delivery experienced a decline of Rs 26, or 0.71 per cent, settling at Rs 3,638 per quintal, accompanied by an open interest of 50,570 lots.

Analysts indicated that a sell-off by participants at current levels, in conjunction with a subdued market trend, exerted downward pressure on cottonseed oil cake prices.
