On Wednesday, guar seed prices rose by Rs 30, reaching Rs 5,959 per quintal in futures trade, propelled by increased investor activity.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for June delivery rose by Rs 30, or 0.51 per cent, to reach Rs 5,959 per quintal, with an open interest of 39,940 lots.

Market participants indicated that heightened investor speculation, despite a decrease in spot prices, supported guar seed prices in futures trading.
