Guar gum prices on Monday rose by Rs 21 to Rs 11,565 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 21, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 11,565 per quintal with an open interest of 36,915 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
