The price of guar seeds in the futures market recorded a rise of Rs 66, hitting Rs 4,817 per quintal. This increase was driven by speculators boosting their holdings in reaction to a robust trend that was observed in the spot market.
The contracts for guar seed that were due for delivery in November on the NCDEX witnessed a gain of Rs 66, which reflected a rise of 1.37%. This resulted in the price of Rs 4,817 per quintal. There were 41,380 lots that were available for purchase.
As a result of increased speculative activity, a robust trend observed in the spot market, and limited supply originating from key producing regions, market analysts believe that the increase in the price of guar seeds can be linked to these factors.
